The counties surrounding London’s suburbs are a feast of ‘Mock Tudor’. When I lived in Bexley, we had whole roads of houses like this one.

Influences of the Arts and Crafts Movement? And wealthy suburbanites seeking rural nostalgia? A lot of Lutyens influence too on the developments between the wars.

Those timbered houses represent a special era in building style. I have always been fascinated but them. Maybe because they are hard to find in Norway.
