No apologies for showing these images of the lentil fields on the Piano Grande in Umbria again…as soon as  I saw them, I thought patchwork

Lentil fields near Casteluccio

Lentil fields

Linked to One Word Sunday at Debbie’s here

  1. Very excellent choice, the first shot especially. The light and shadow and the vivid green against the pale ochre somehow combine to give a sense of motion.Everything’s flowing!

  2. Great choice for the challenge word, Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Perfect choice, Sue. I had been thinking of posting paddy fields but my lynx demanded attention. Your lentils happily satisfy my desire to look at a beautiful landscape

  4. Almost otherworldly, Sue, like a fantasy landscape: I just want to be there breathing in the air, feeling the sun on my back and drinking in the visual magnificence (sorry about the mixed metaphors).

  5. Wow !! This is an incredible landscape…

Quite an interesting entry for the theme 🙂

  6. What amazing scenes!

  7. I’ve never even considered what lentil fields look like so this was fun in several different ways. Perfect choice. I’m beginning to think that a shot of a patchwork quilt would have been the unusual shot this week. 🙂
