Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #99 – Old and New

Just remembered I hadn’t posted anything for this

London is good for juxtapositions of old and new

Liverpool Street view

Old and new around Spitalfields

and here is Matera, in Basilicata…an image taken by my friend whilst we were there a good few years ago now, where you see modern above the old cave dwellings

The layers of Matera. Image copyright Sarah Tuck.

  1. Good selections, Sue. Central London is rich in such opportunities.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. That is the oddest space age looking thing in the Liverpool photo. It clashes with the others and your photo illustrates that well.

  3. great contrasts. the height differences between old and new is fascinating.

  4. Amazing images for this one Sue. That last image shows a place I’ve never heard of but would love to see first-hand.

  5. Oh, gosh, yes. London must be easy to find old and new side by side.

  6. Spitalfields is one of the best places in London for old and new – love these Sue

  7. Would love a return trip to London. So much to see!!
