On my recent wanders, I have seen loads of dandelion seed heads, but I’m never happy with the results – here’s one from the other day when the focussing mode went awry
Finally, today, I got an image of a seed head that I’m reasonably pleased with…sharper than I have previously managed, you can see the detail – Yay! I can tick that one off my to do list!!
Nicely done, Sue. Did you blow on it afterwards? I can never resist that. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
No, I didn’t!
how could you resist?!
😳
I know what you mean, I struggle. A friend of mine just yesterday bent down with her point and shoot, dead overhead and got a great shot that I would have been very proud of. May be we try to hard 😁
Well, part of the problem for me is that I hardly ever see them, so I’m not practised at getting the right light etc…struck lucky today!
My biggest problem is getting down so low ! or rather getting back up again 🙂
Well, yes, totally agree
Nice. You’re right, they’re omnipresent, but not the easiest to get on their best side.
😄😄
Very nice, Sue! I just knocked a few over mowing the lawn.
Many thanks!
Yes, nice one 🙂 🙂
Thank you, Jo!
Jack would love to grow dandelions in the garden, but we never see them over here. Second shot is like fairies little parachutes, very nice detail
The second shot is the one!
They are awfully difficult to photograph! I have stopped trying now after getting one or two shots I was happy with! Plenty in my lawn but as Andrew says, too low to get down to. The best ones are those growing high up in the Cornish hedges! Eye level 😁
