To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
Very nice, Sue. And the camera is back in shot. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Indeed!
An excellent book of her work with text by John Fowles no less!
Both missed.
Indeed….and one of my regrets is that I didn’t attend one of Godwin’s courses…..
Wonderfully combined, Sue; caught in a moment but also tracking back through time.
Thank you, Tish!
I like the drama too. Did you ever go to Lewis, Sue? 🙂 🙂
Yes, not least to see Callanish, but it was raining on the day we went… https://suejudd.com/2013/10/28/travel-theme-stone/
😦 😦
Ah, lovely and “still”. Beautiful through your window.
Thanks!
I had to look at your other post! Magical place.
It was, but I would have liked to have seen it in better weather!!
Rained when we went too.
Aaargh! And it rained at Plockton, and it rained at Inverewe….
We have been reasonably lucky over the last few years that days of rain have been well outnumbered by dry days on our holidays. But the Scottish summer is predictably unpredictable!
Well, almost all the first half of that holiday was great, just one drizzly day in Lewis, and then wall-to-wall rain in the Western Highlands…..
Back to basics. Very very nice.
Thank you, Michael!
Perfect composition
Thank you, Pauline!
what a superb still life
Oh, thank you, Becky! I’m feeling a bit minus something, then I realised it’s no Squares today….!!
The first days after squares are always a bit weird aren’t they. Still we’ve got Debbie’s 6WS and One Word, plus Jude’s light challenge coming up at weekend 😀
Sure, and I have neglected chores to do….☹️😢 but there will be ☕️, and later in the day 🍷
ah chores . . . been a bit hit and miss in this household the past 10days. Enjoy the coffee and wine xx
More miss than hit with me for weeks now!!
🙂 I enjoyed the preview too!
Teehee!
Lovely. I had a go at a still life the other day, just to see if I could. A very simple one. Not sure it will get published though!
Oh, please show one day!
Mmm…
Go on!
I recognized Callanish!!
Have you been there, Hannah?
Very compelling. I appreciated the camera next to a photo in the book. A layered image.
Thanks, Elizabeth! I’ve done one or two of those in this series

Many thanks for the link, Jo! And you finally got around to it!!
Wasn’t sure which to link to, Sue, but I thought if I didn’t do it today it would probably never get done! I have another, with cake, that might make an appearance when you end the series. 🙂 🙂

Well done, love your little scene!
I will have a couple but probably will put them into one post 🤗💕
Very good!
Love this image, so peaceful!
Thanks, Amy!
