I had a stunning floral display recently, but all is now decaying, and some of the lilies that didn’t come out properly have decayed in interesting ways….I may get told off, because this isn’t a precise square…….
Linked to April Squares at Becky’s here
I love your decaying flowers, Sue.
It has become a bit of a specialty of mine, Margaret!!
I know. We’re all decaying nicely, along with them.
Not quite what I was meaning, but if you say so!!! 😄
Oh I love the decaying images…always so interesting..very wabi sabi ! Beauty in imperfection.
Very wabi Sabi, indeed, Caryl!!
Becky’s too nice to tell you off, so I’d better do it! 🙂 🙂
Well, you can just shut up!!!😳😉
Temper! 🙂 🙂
Oooooh!
Pokes tongue out 🙂 🙂
🙁
if you hadn’t said I may not have noticed!!!
You are very naughty but your beautiful still life is distracting me enough that I may forget to mention it later!
Glad you like this one!
Well, it’s not too far off!
you wouldn’t have got away with that in the pharmacy!!!
Absolutely not! But I think having to be so precise for so long has me doing precisely the opposite now!!
I’ve never been precise!!
Surely you have!
Nope, even with baking I am a bit haphazard! btw as soon as the flour arrives I will let you know
Yay!!
Beautiful decay, Sue. Did you treat yourself to a Freddie’s bunch of flowers, by any chance?
And I certainly wouldn’t have noticed the rule-breaking slightly-non-square!
Yes, my first, free, one….thanks! Next week I shall have another
Just lovely. Nobody does this better, Sue. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete!!
I always adore how you can turn dying flowers into beauty and art. 😀 😀
Many thanks, Cee! Glad you like them 😊
I have been taking some photos of my decaying tulips, but I can’t get that black background!
The tulips were in the garden?
Yes. Many are disintegrating now.
You won’t get a black background easily in the garden!!
True. I have managed a couple of dark backgrounds, but most are not. Best I can do is try and blur the background.
Yes…use a wide aperture
This is a great shot Sue; I love the composition and the colour palette.
Thank you, Su!
Maybe not a precise square, but what a great photo!
Thanks, Meg, I was pleased with it!
