Trying to create another strand to my storytelling, I hope eventually to have a book held in the hands, but focussing will be tricky as I’m not holding the camera, but mounting it on a tripod and using timed shutter release, and I don’t have a lens with reliable manual focus, but I live in hope!

Endlessly inventive. Good luck with hands. Most of my recent beach photos feature feet, but that’s because I can’t see the screen in the midday sun! However, they do add a (vaguely) human touch. What next??

Leading lines: all roads lead to the road. You’ll probably have to work out your manual focus by measuring distance and experimenting with apertures to get the correct depth of field. It’ll be worth the effort, I’m sure.

On your tricky challenge ahead does your camera have the option to be controlled by a phone? Mine does so you can manage focusing from afar, although having said that it could be tricky for the fingers
