This prompt is right up my street, but it has taken all this time for me to put a post together!
I think of Simplicity in photographs as predominantly being an image with few components. So here goes for my take…..
First, a few early images:

Minimalist
And now for my attempts at ‘clean’ uncluttered Still Lifes:
And finally, decaying flowers:

Chinese lantern tulip

Beautiful shots, Sue. I especially love the tulip and the b and white. I hope you’re well and stay well! I’m glad you joined us. I was just thinking about you!
Oh, Patti, Thank you! The tulip is an old favourite, and the monochrome still life is a new favourite! I seem to have done very little this week, but still couldn’t find time to post this until now! I’m fine thank you, and hope you are.
Funny I find my fav is your B&W Sue. But of course all are wonderful as always
Many thanks, Tina! I must say I was really pleased with the light and composition of that one!
I love these simplified images Sue. All are perfect for this “brief” but I particularly like the monochrome book image, love the way you have added the slate slabs to tie in with the title
Thank you very much Pauline, I think that is one of my best Still Life’s to date!
That tulip could be mistaken for a still life painting by a Dutch realist. Lovely image.
Many thanks, Elizabeth, I like that!
I think of you as being someone who concentrates on simplicity. And decay of course, always decay. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Always decay…..
I like that b&w, Sue. Suits the slate so well
And you’ve reminded me that I haven’t done simplicity either!
So are you going to?
The tulip’s the star!
Thought you might say that!
Good collection of simplicity Sue 🙂
Thank you, Brian!
The tulip should go on the wall.
I know, I really should do that
You should.
Hmmm
These are all excellent, Sue, but the tulip is my favorite.
janet
And one of my all time favourites, Janet!
wonderful Sue, looking forward to chatting later xx
Yay! So which were your favourites of these??
Ask me again in an hour 🙂
Will do!
I like your very different take on this challenge, Sue. I particularly like your first image: and your Dutch still life.
Thank you, Margaret!
Excellent. Scottish slate quarries? We visited one on our tour. Interesting history.
Nope, North Welsh…..
Ahh. Thanks.
I like simple images too, and #3 is my favourite here.
Thanks, Jude!
Marvelous photos. I love that last tulip the most — simple, arched, and unique.
Love your descriptors, Rusha!
Dear Sue,
thank you very much for sharing these minimalist pictures we like very much.
Keep well, Happy Easter
The Fab Four of Cley
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you, Fab Four, glad you enjoyed!
I think Number 3 is the best. You have a good eye and this is a great composition.
Thanks, Jeremy!
