Nice! I like Ondaatje’s writing.
Yes…marvellous prose
Lovely composition
This is one of the ones I was most pleased with
I think I may have read this one, but I have no memory these days, Sue. 🙂 🙂 But I’m loving this series. Best thing you’ve done in ages. Hugs, darlin!
Best thing I’ve done in ages, eh? I think you could be ri,get, Jo!
🤣🤣💕
Lovely – but I prefer my coffee cup with coffee…
Fussy…I had just finished it
I like how the lighting suits the book title. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete – you’re the first to notice!
Beautiful shots. Are you doing this series daily and are participants supposed to link?
janet
I’m doing it daily, but it’s not a challenge, however if you want to link that would be nice!
Beautiful musing light.
I like that, ‘musing light’!
The ghostly light on the book in photo one is excellent.
Thank you! I just caught the light in time
Lovely echoing of cover shadow with your shadow – and is it a 1st edition? Tipped over coffee cup a nice touch – the ghost of coffee as well as Anil’s ghost.
The cover had a beam of light, so I added a sliver of light as it came through the window, and I’m glad you picked up on “the ghost of coffee as well as Anil’s ghost”….. Why are you asking about first edition?
I looked up the covers and this particular cover was labelled first edition.
Oh, OK!
oh this is stunning. A fabulous still life although the bookseller in the house is a bit perturbed by the coffee cup’s position on the book!!
It was very briefly, and very carefully placed!! No books harmed in the making of this photograph! Glad you like it, one of my best thus far
Phew he will be relieved . . . you could paint this it is so brilliant 🙂
I can’t paint, dear girl!
ahh . .. .carry on inspiring and delighting us with camera then xxxx
I’ll try!
I love the first shot Sue. The shadow and light go so well with the book cover.
Yes, the light was brilliant and I rushed for the camera!
Ooo, I loved this one. He laces his books with such poetry.
A wonderful prose style
