Very oddly, ducks!
Doric = simple rounded capitals for pillars like tree trunks, the earliest classical Greek columns
Ionic = a pair of symmetric spirals facing each other on the capitals, owl-like eyes staring at you (eye-onic), maybe some fluting on the columns
Corinthian = the most complex column capitals, usually highly decorated with flowers
