Flight (2)

Apologies for the diminutive image, WP has suddenly reduced the size of my images in post, despite the dimensions of the saved gallery image remaining the same.

Another flight of a stork, this time an image I played with a few years ago, creating a double exposure:

  1. He looks so serious! But then, so would I if I was concentrating on not falling out of the sky 🙂 🙂 Happy Wednesday, Sue!

  2. It makes us focus, which is always a good thing to do in the middle of the week

  3. That is why I still use the old editor!

  4. I am having issues with WP today. It is making me log in to comment. I hope you see this one.
    Nice stork!
    Best wishes, Pete.

  5. I seem to be unable to comment today. Login issues.

  6. Another attempt to comment. Sorry!

  7. I find the watermark spoils the image going across the bird like that, otherwise it is a lovely graceful shot.

  8. I like this one because I can see the stork. Yesterday they were all quite tiny.

The problem at present is that WP has made my images small, and I can’t work out how to get them back to the size I want….

      • Sue, when you edit your post can you click on the photo and edit it? (the pencil should appear) You can check the size there and change it. I noticed some of mine had reverted to thumbnail on older posts when they were entered as full size or large.

      • Sue

Jude, you’re a star! I just could not work out how to do this, but it seems to have worked for the two I have looked at so far….but the maddening thing is that I can’t work out how to ensure future posts show the right size from creation…. Thanks for sussing this part out, and I can rescue posts!

      • From wp admin under settings you have media where you can set the different sizes, not sure yet how to set the default size but I’ll have a look around tomorrow.

      • Sue

Yes, saw this the other day, it tells you the sizes of eg full or medium, but it doesn’t tell you how to ensure your posts display a specific sized

      • Sue

Yes, still haven’t sussed how to set my default size for display in a post, and those Happiness people are conspicuous by their absence,,,

      • Had a look around and can only see that one place to make default settings. I think that when you upload your photo and select a size in the post it automatically uses that size for future posts. I reckon there was a glitch the other day that resized your photo so the stork one was set at that wrong size. Hopefully now you’ve altered it the new ones will keep that setting.

      • Sue

        But I don’t select a size for a post! I’m never asked/prompted….

Nice experiment Sue, I like the double exposure effect 🙂

  10. Love this, Sue. Great shot. 😍

  11. Very artistic and such a skill to catch storks in flight. We go each year to a place called Dehesa del Abajo on the borders of the Doñana wetlands. Storks galore there, plus flamingos, ibis and spoonbill.
