This was the scene after I had devoured my Dover Sole on Friday evening… skin and bones:
Delicious fish, and not a bad wine either (more of that for another day)!

Looks fabulous. Living in Grimsby I am a Haddock man myself. Once you open a bottle of wine you must drink it in case it goes off!
No, Andrew, I am not going to pickle my liver…. some wines can survive a day or three in the fridge…..
Winston Churchill died at the ripe old age of 90.
A miracle some might say, considering he had drunk an estimated forty-two thousand bottles of Pol Roger champagne through his life; he thought nothing of starting the morning with cold game and a glass of hock and ending it in the late afternoon with the best part of a bottle of cognac.
Wine goes off if you don’t drink it straight away!
I shall ignore your last line
Looks tasty!
It was!
Must have been a fine time!
Indeed!
Don’t mind if I do! 🙂 🙂 (and laughing at you and Andrew 🙂 )
😄😄😄
It looks like it was an excellent meal.
janet
It was, thanks, Janet!
I agree with Andrew about the wine, especially if it is red. I rarely drink white, but I know it will last in the fridge.
You did a good job with the Dover Sole, picked clean! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Aaargh, stop taking sides! Anyway, white Burgundy with the Dover….
🙂 🙂
😊
I definitely should not have seen this before I had dinner. It looked terribly inviting, but sadly I didn’t find myself filled up with the fish.
Oh dear, sorry…. 😳
