I can think of a number of images to use for this, some from quite a while ago, a few very recent.
Here we go for one from one of my favourite abandoned places, Craco Vecchia -alas, you can’t see the window surrounds in this image:
One here that Ann Christine also saw (but I’ve gone for loads of dark, negative space):
And a tad sinister here, looking out from a cruise ship cabin in the Baltic:
A boathouse window looking onto autumn colour

Looking out over the water
Multiple disorientating reflections in a window:
Looking out

Morning paper
The scene from an old ruined mill window

View out from the Quertinheux ramparts (to Tour Régine, and furthest away, Cabaret
And here is the most recent, from inside a restaurant in Guildford the other day, my Impressionist view
Linked to Lens artists at Amy’s here
Excellent “view” shots — and great techniques as well. My favorite is the woman looking out at the Baltic. I’ve been on cruise ships and done the same thing — with great anticipation to see what’s lies ahead. Wishing you all the best as you continue to photograph the world!
Thanks, Rusha! The woman looking out at the Baltic is me…taken of a reflection in a mirror…all clever stuff!
How cool!
😊😊😊
Beautiful set of window views, Sue! I love your Impressionist view. And, the The scene from an old ruined mill window was well captured. 🙂
Many thanks, Amy! I had more than I thought in my archive!
Those are some great views!
Many thanks!
You have a great variety of window views, Sue. I love the ‘Morning paper’ one very much, but the one from Quertinheux ramparts is my favourite.
Ah, the one from Quertinheux ….. taken, I think, around 9 years ago when I could still walk some distance, but it was a real challenge. I was determined to see that view, and pleased when I made it…
You are a busy bee these days, Sue! I’m going for the simplicity of the boathouse view 🙂 🙂
Well, I’m not surprised, Jo!
Anything with a boat, huh? 🙂 🙂 Or without one in this case.
Yeah, but it’s a link to boats….
You really do have a talent for framing these shots Sue. My fave is the boathouse view; so peaceful.
Many thanks, Su!
Wonderful gallery Sue! So much to love but I’m a sucker for an abstract so will call that one my fav!
That window with its distortions was something else, Tina!
So many to like Sue. The black framing is wonderful, the clever selfie and distortions 🙂
Thanks, Brian! Glad you like these!
Great, unique collection.
Thank you, Victoria!
Great perspectives. Well done.
Many thanks, John!
You have brought us so many varied ‘window’ views over the years, Sue. A nice selection for this post to.
Best wishes, Pete.
Pleased you like them, Pete!
Love these! Fabulous collection of photos.
Thanks, Maddy!
Terrific collection of windows, Sue. Love your lead shot, the mill and the ramparts. 🙂
Many thanks, Jane! The ramparts is a big favourite of mine!
love the variety and gives a nice feel for your work! the first was a tease wondering what the trim of the window was like…
but all good..
and the
Craco Vecchia one was culture rich too
Cheers!
Great selection. Love that last one especially.
Ah, the Impressionist!
Love the dark negative space approach!
Thanks, Laura, I do love negative space!
Great series Sue .. particularly like the boathouse, ramparts and the disorientated abstract windows!
Glad you enjoyed these, Poppy! How are you doing?
