This week, we are being challenged to show Abstract. So Ihave delved into my archives, and without further ado….here I deliberately chose to use a wide aperture and focus on a point of light to throw everything into abstract:
Here, I have used Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) to create a couple of abstract images:

Tulip Abstract 1
Here, I’ve focussed on a reflection on Regent’s Canal to provide another form of abstract:
And here is an abstract created some years ago, from some rust and scratched paint on an old car:

Abstract – layers of years
Hope you enjoyed my different approaches to abstract! Oh

Beautiful, creative abstract images. I love the Tulip Abstract, and the water reflections are beautifully captured. ICM is well done! Thank you for sharing, Susan!
Pleased you like these, Amy! I enjoy trying to create something a bit different with the camera from time to time

Great abstracts Sue 😀
Thanks, Brian, glad you like them!

Thank you, Klara!
Those first three are superb!
Hours of fun for the under fives……😳😄😄😄😂

Thanks, Dawn!
Some very cool shots. I like the 2nd one and the last one.
Thank you, Jeff….second is my personal favourite, magnolia tree in flower against a blue sky……
delightful and colorful
🙂
Yay!
😊
A nice varied selection. Did you have fun browsing through your archives? It can bring back such memories…
Very much so, Margaret!
Love your colorful abstraction!
Which one?
Tulip Abstract
Ah, thanks!
Fabulous abstracts 🙂
Pleased you like them Becky! Lots of fun
Very nice and inspiring! Thank you Sue!
Thank you Sylvia – it was fun creating these
🙂
More excellent choices for the theme. The car shot is so unusual. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete!
Absolutely wonderful collection, Sue! I can see that you’re a natural when it comes to thinking/shooting in abstract. I’m still working on it!
Many thanks, Patti! It’s just a case of playing with the camera
Oooh – these are gorgeous. The colors are so rich, and there’s a sense of movement and flow in each of them. Lovely.
Thanks, Celia! Glad you enjoyed these, and time for me to take a few more abstracts
These are terrific Sue. Loved the lights and your sweeping colors especially but they all struck a chord with me
Many thanks, Tina! I need to take some more abstracts soonish…
wonderful. Can’t wait to try this.
Try different abstracts?
Yes.
Good, look forward to seeing some!
Oh these are beautiful! I especially like the top three! 🙂
All lovely but the tulip shot in the middle is my favorite. There is a sense of a flower without actually seeing one.
Yes, it’s interesting what you can achieve with ICM, but you don’t always get what you aim for!!
Oh, wonderful, Sue! I hoped you would use some of your excellent ICM images! The second one is a gem.
Yay! That second one is one of my favourite ICM images!!
♥♥♥
😊😊😊
Excellent. Very innovative.
Thanks, John!
