The sun was streaming through the blinds briefly yesterday, so I did a very hasty Still Life….not very good, but I did like the textures of the old, worn leather covered tome:
Oh, and just to set the record straight, the beer bottle was a prop I had commandeered a while ago….my days of drinking high strength beer at lunchtime belong firmly in my past!!
I like this a lot, hasty or not. The book texture is great, and now I want to try a ‘cave-aged’ stout! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Indeed….sounds fascinating!
Love this still life, Sue. Thanks for explaining about the ale bottle. You put my mind at rest. 😅
As long as I’ve made you smile, Sylvia!!
You usually do. 😃
Good! 🙂
Alas, I still imbibe on the odd lunchtime, Sue, but almost never beer. Lovely composition 🤗💕🍺 xx
Oh, I’ll have wine at lunchtime, from time to time, Jo…
Goodness, remember pub lunches and then back to work? My frequented venue was the Mill on the Exe. What’s not very good? I love the book and flower but not too keen on the bottle, overall vey nice 🙂
Thanks, Gilly….pub lunches and back to work do seem a long time ago! Glad you like this image
I quite like it, maybe desaturate the wooden surface?
Hmm, I did wonder about that….
Wonderful texture. Along with color, texture is my favorite element of art.
I think I would agree…
It’s ok I guess 🙂
Is that all???😄😄
You started it 😀 😀
😄😄😄😄
The Bible looks like it was used by a Pilgrim.
I don’t think it was!
Love it!
Thanks!
