What a brilliant set of old bikes! Rusty handlebars and springs, uncomfortable looking seats, a wicker basket – what’s not to love?
So not 21st Century comfort!

Well, at the risk of being picky, they don’t look the most comfortable ride in the world, Sue 🙂 🙂 🙂
They wouldn’t have been! We’re too used to our comforts in the 21st century, Jo!
I remember sitting on one of those seats. Oooooh. So lumpy.
Me too! Not too comfortable, back in the day….
Oh, yes. Me too. Ouchety ouch. 😯
Ouchety ouch indeed!😊😊
and even chained up so you wouldn’t steal them 😀
Yep!
Definitely more enjoyable to look at than to ride 😀
😄😄😄
Those old delivery bikes must have been such hard work for the riders. Great nostalgia, Sue. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Brings back memories of my hours of rubbing rusty spokes with Duraglit wadding. My dad was a stickler for shiny spokes, and mine just didn’t want to cooperate. 😦
That was a hiding to nothing!
One could carry quite a load on the front of the first one. Great image.
Many thanks, Elizabeth!
Lots to love if we are just looking, but where do i start on what not to love if you ask me to ride one!!!
Well, that’s a whole other story, Becky!!
