Word on the Water

I was at Coal Drops Yard recently, and wandered onto the Regents Canal towpath, and finally got to see the bookshop on a canal boat that is Word on the Water….delightfully eclectic collection of books, I need to return and spend a bit of time browsing.

I must go with a wide angle lens, I had a 40-120 zoom with me, 14mm would give more of a feel for the interior…

  1. Yes, another angle will give a different view. But I like the final interior – close up and warm – it’s a great shot to tempt us to go on in.

  2. It’s a great little bookshop with a surprisingly wide and tempting array of books.

  3. What a wonderful idea, to have a floating bookshop. Great find, Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. How lovely! And how dangerous for someone who loves books! And do they have to remove all those shelves and books on the outside every night or is there a cover?

  5. I found all those canal merchants very interesting when i visited the UK. Lovely collection.
