What do I find Magical?
Time spent with friends, exploring new places, finding old things, enjoying photographic creativity……
So here goes for a recent magical experience at the Bluebell Railway
Linked to Lens-artist’s Photo Challenge at Ann Christine’s here
I had many trips on that railway over the years. Thanks for taking me back, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
My pleasure, Pete!
Somehow it reminded me of Harry Potter 😊. A fun and interesting choice for the week Sue
Well, no Happy Rotter for me, but a reminder of childhood….
I remember going on that one when my now over 6ft tall 17 yr old grandson was a toddler! Was it really that long ago? I hope you visited Sheffield Park whilst in the area.
No Sheffield Park this time, but it is in the plans….
Late October maybe (but not half term week). Such lovely colour there, one of the best places I think.
Yes, I went in October a few years ago
Great photos. I love trains, old and new.
Many thanks, John!
Lovely atmospheric photos, Sue. The romance of steam, hey? Smutty, awful stuff as I recall but there was definitely something magical about them. 🙂 🙂
Very smutty, but we don’t think about that when we romanticise!
🙂 🙂
I love the magic of old trains and railways. So nostalgic. So beautiful.
And as Jo said, so dirty with the smoke!!
Fascinating images, Sue. It’s been a very long time since I had a Fry’s Chocolate Cream. 😢
Hahaha!
Made my mouth water just thinking about it.
Too sweet for me now….
Probably for me too. Give me a bag of crisps instead. 🤣
Noooo…..some fruit – fresh figs, perhaps?
There’s just something about getting away . . . Lovely entry for this challenge!
Thank you, Rusha!
A magical trip to the past, Sue. A great choice for this week’s theme. Your shots of the old-fashioned calligraphy/signs are marvelous. Definitely a step back in time.
Thank you, Patti, I’m so glad you enjoyed this post
I did, Sue.
😊😊
Love the reflections in the second picture – they make the train look like a ghost from the past 🙂
Hmmm, hadn’t thought of it that way, Inese….good thought!
