Tina has asked us to find some images that illustrate taking a break.
Here are a few ways to unwind, some I may use myself, some that I have seen others enjoy:
A short break for coffee (and I was enjoying coffee as I took this image):
I find time spent in a garden is a great way of taking a break from everyday life, however short :
This group of friends were enjoying a break playing a game of cards:
A break by the beach in the evening light:
I love to see people enjoying a break painting a scene – this man was certainly engrossed:

A good selection, Sue. I always like to find a nice bench when I’m out and about. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes, a bench with a view is always worth having!
Enjoyed them all Sue. The light on your beach shot is superb and I really liked your composition on the garden stroll. Well done!
Ah, that beach image was a good few years ago, but I still remember walking there….a lovely evening
Some things stay in our memories and our hearts for a very long time. Thank goodness!
They certainly do!
Wonderful photo selection for this theme, Sue. To the beach, playing games…. ways to relax. 🙂
Thank you, Amy! Pleased you liked these
I am always happy to find benches right when I am wanting to sit down. I wonder who figured out how far apart to space them.
Goodness knows!
A good mix, Sue, and I have made notes on how to take a break 🙂 I know you take it a little easier these days, but you’re still not much better at resting than I am
Hmm, I do naff all a lot of the time….. but I never was a sedentary person in the past
I love finding artists painting in the open air.
Indeed! I imagine you see quite a few in your neck of the woods
Actually, surprisingly not!
With all those picturesque harbours and boats and things?!
I know! You’d think I’d see someone sketching at least. Maybe people take photos and then do the painting back in their studios.
Hmm, perhaps so
I love the beach shot too, and the gentleman painting 😆
The beach wander as the sun was setting was lovely, and I do like to see an artist at work in the open air, Jo
Hi, Sue. I share many of your “methods” for taking a break. Your beach shot is a stunner! Beautiful light and composition.
Oh, that beach shot was great! Glad you liked these Patti
Excellent selection and variety.
Thanks!
