Abandoned

Abandoned places, things, have long held a fascination for me. These have all been posted before, but hey, they deserve another look.

Here’s a few:

  1. Definitely worth that second look, Sue. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Sue I find exploring such things fascinating too. I can’t help wonder that if the structures or items could speak what intriguing stories they would tell.
I hope this finds you well and enjoying the summer. We are awaiting the arrival of another granddaughter so the excitement is building.

  3. I love this collection, even if I have seen one or two before. My favourite is the cupboards that have seen better days.

Haha! My friend and I snuck into what looked like an abandoned place in Lanzarote briefly, and I took a couple of images….

  4. I am always intrigued by the abandoned towns and cities in Italy. I visited one in Sardinia, it felt very odd!

  5. Lovely evocative images that would be jumping off points for great stories, every one of them.

  6. That Maginot operating theater is truly chillling when I think of the men who went through there.

  7. Fascinating compilation for Friendly Friday, Sue andI liked thr one to have used monochrome to great effect. It is hard to fathom why a place in Italy would be abandoned? What happened there?

  9. Your photos are mesmerising Sue. I too was intrigued by that shot of the operating room. Great prompts for some interesting stories there. Have a lovely weekend. 🙂

  10. You do love your abandoned / decayed / dereliction and you do it so well. Love the old dresser – the black and white treatment suits this image perfectly.

  11. Great mix of images. The last one is especially cool.
