Well, the other day I found a very relaxing place – a friend took me to a rose garden, in the summer sunshine it was a most beautiful, soothing place:

Does look idyllic 😀
It most certainly was, and not too busy!
Yay for that.
😄
I’m doing it! I’m doing it! But we’re on a beach. 😎🌊⛵⛅💕
And the sun’s blazing down? It’s cooler here today, and I’m loving it
Strong breeze but not cold 😎🌊⛵💕
A breeze is good!
That does look like a lovely spot indeed, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
It most certainly is…..on a sunny day!
very pretty
It was!
Where is this one? Looks lovely. And hopefully deliciously scented too in the sun.
It’s the rose garden at Polesden Lacey, Jude.
Mmm… I thought I recognised the clock tower, but wasn’t sure without digging out an old photo. Did you enjoy it there?
I loved the rose garden, b ecause it was just bursting with colour, lovely shapes and some scent…I had been to Polesden before, so didn’t need to go everywhere as I didn’t have the energy!
Good to focus on one spot. You have some fab gardens in the south-east. Have you ever been to Loseley Park and the walled garden? Or the Artists’ Village (Watts Gallery) and the beautiful chapel?
I love Watts Gallery and the quite brilliant chapel, and I don’t recall Losely Park, although I’m sure I have been many moons ago…..
Yes that chapel is something else.
Agreed!
I was wondering if these roses had a scent. Too many now are bred for their look and not their scent.
Sadly
All the atmosphere of a Rose garden…… just wish we could ad scent 🙂
Digital scent,…hmm
What a lovely spot, Sue. You have caught its beauty and cosiness so well
It was a great place Debbie – peaceful and beautiful
