Not the best Still Life I have taken, but I didn’t spend long with it, as this was taken at a friend’s house and I didn’t have loads of time.
The props were right up my street, a lovely Olympus Pen camera in a blue redolent of Gitanes packs, an old leather case with stickers from voyages long past and an old bellows camera..heaven for me!
Wouldn’t it be lovely to have a copy of the stories that those cameras did tell?
The old camera on the right, and the old case, for sure….the little Pen is much more recent
Evocative composition. For some reason makes me think of Colette’s The Ripening Seed and Breton seaside holidays of times past. Must have been the mention of Gitanes that did it.
I was hoping for evocative, Tish I’m not very familiar with Colette’s stories, but Breton holidays sounds on the mark
Photos of cameras. It doesn’t get better than that, Sue! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
And with that wonderful old leather case as prop!
“a blue redolent of Gitanes packs” … absolutely wonderful, Sue. Adrian 🙂
Thanks, Adrian! Not that I’ve ever smoked Gitanes, or any other cigarettes….
Old cameras….drool 😉. Nice shot.
The little Pen isn’t actually old!
Is it not? Apologies to it lol.
No, but it looks stylish retro!
