Best I could come up with for this one is a view from a window in the cabin of an old 1960s Antonov as we were flying along the coast near the Sierra Madre mountains of Cuba….

And a great shot it is!
I was amazed it came out so well, as I had the most basic camera at the time, and the windows weren’t sparkling clear!
That reminded me of so many flights with Aeroflot, and the aircraft that seemed to be just held together with glue and string. Not to mention the rather fearsome cabin crew! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes, it looked a bit fragile to say the least, but the pilot was very gentle with it….beautiful landing!
It almost looks as if you were flying along outside the plane. Lovely shot.

Many thanks, Janet!
Great shot, Sue.
Lucky, more than anything, Sylvia…..but in memory terms it means a lot to me
It’s a great one, Sue. The delicacy of the plane is clear, and you’ve managed to combine fear (mine, at least) with beauty.
I was fearful for all of 2 minutes, then I decided it would all be OK (inexplicably)
