Lens-Artists Weekly Photo Challenge #46 – Delicate

I don’t often do delicate, but I’m having a look to see what I can find…

First up was this image I took in the White Garden at Sissinghurst, Kent a good few years ago. The grasses appealed

….and for more delicate nature, how about the delicate colours of an orchid:

Ann Christine was talking of the delicate beginnings of plants in the Spring, but conversely, in the early part of the year, I like to have a look to see what delicate remains of petals or leaves I can find from the previous year’s growth:

Last year, I took a Still Life featuring some delicate, fluffy parts of some seed pods:

  4. These are all perfect for the challenge, Sue. Although I like them all quite a lot, I like the one in B&W especially.

      Thanks, Janet – I presume you mean the decaying petals…not actually B&W, but fairly heavily desaturated for effect!

  6. All perfect, Sue! I thought you might also take some delicate decay to your posting…love it. The Hydrangea (?) is my favorite!

  7. Skeleton leaves are my favourite – so delicate and lacy.
