The busker and the Bard

Seen near the South Bank in London, not so very far from Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, I was struck by two things…. The vibrant colours of that Street Art of the bard, and the instrument the busker was playing

  1. That’s a really good image of Shakespeare, and works well near The Globe. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. “If music be the food of love, play on!” Weird-looking harp, a design I’ve not seen before, perhaps a folk instrument from South America? (Remember Los Paraguayos?) It’s almost a cross between a harp and a lyre…

  3. Oh yes, a great shot. I’ve not seen that busker before. And this is much better positioning than the guy we saw yesterday, though I’m going to post him black and white tomorrow.

    • Sue

Many thanks, Debbie! I was pleased with his positioning, I was narked with Mr Yesterday, if he wants appreciation he needs to try harder!!

  4. The colors are great and the instrument is certainly interesting. Any idea what it is?

  5. Wonderful mix of new and old.

  6. What a magical image, Sue. Love it. 🙂

  7. Amy

I love this image, Sue. Beautiful contrast of the musician and Shakespeare wall painting. 🙂

  8. Great eyes! Distinctly mischievous 🙂 🙂
