On the way into Oporto, I was struck by how the light and shade caught the lines of the the very geometric shapes of the Casa da Musica (the city’s Classical Music venue). Designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, it is very controversial, a late 20th century concrete structure of irregular proportions. Here are a couple of monochrome images:

Ah it’s very similar to the Eye Film Museum in Amsterdam. Must be the same architect.
Apparently the Eye Film museum was designed by an Austrian architectural firm…..
