Which of the many towers I have seen to post?
This has to be one of my absolute favourites, seen three decades ago in Provence….but I should have adjusted my POV (point of view), because the lamp on the left is a tad distracting!:

Church tower, Brantes

A lovely bell tower, Sue. The lamp is also vying for attention. 😃
Yep, my bad, I should have noticed and changed my POV!
No the lamp adds beauty!
Ah, glad you think so!
I didn’t find the lamp(s) particularly distracting, in fact it/they was/were one of a piece with the other metal objects—the cross, the bell and the S-shaped reinforcement for the tower itself. Very atmospheric, le tout ensemble.
Merci, monsieur!!
No, the street light adds interest and character, as does the (?) lilac in soft focus. A lovely shot!
Many thanks, Margaret! I have always loved that photograph…
That IS a good one, Sue, and I agree that the light isn’t distracting but adds to the shot.

Thank you, Janet!
I don’t mind the lamp.
Thanks, Draco!
My own favourite towers are actually those either side of Tower Bridge. Despite seeing many wonderful ancient towers over the years, I always come back to that iconic bridge in London.
Best wishes, Pete.
Oh, OK!
Yes, that’s a lovely bell tower, Sue, and that soft fuzz of flowers 🙂 🙂
The soft fuzz of flowers was a eureka moment for me, Jo, when I got the slides back. It was my first telephoto lens, and I hadn’t appreciated how much the depth of field was compressed
🙂 🙂
