Coffee cup sculpture?

Having a play with Still Life this afternoon when the sun was streaming through the window:

Inspired by a blog I was recently looking through, and to my shame I have forgotten whose it was….I now know, as Yvette (priorhouse blog) has reminded me it was on her blog

  1. Nicely sunlit, Sue. 🙂 Elegant cups too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Beautiful cups and tablecloth Sue. Very elegant.

  3. Amy

A very beautiful, special tea sculpture. Lovely sunlight. 🙂

  4. What is it they say about idle hands…. 🙂 Nice idea though

  5. This was awesome, Sue – and I think it was my blog you saw the cup and saucer art (Object, and Lichenstien’s #9)
    I like your take

    • Sue

Yvette, it was on your blog! I dIdn’t dare balance 3 cups tall, I don’t want my china broken! Glad you like my take!

      • well you have inspired me – sometime this year (wink) I will do a tea cup or coffee mug photo shoot. Let ya know when I do –
and check out amy maranto’s header – she did a tea cup photo shot a while ago and it is one of my fav pics of hers:

      • Sue

Yes, I remember that one of Maranto’s!

      • well right on – and keep clicking my friend – I can feel your freshness after your time away.,
and side note – I think I told you I sometimes think of you with bike photos (cos I liked your different takes on bikes) – well I grabbed a bike shot last week that I need to show ya…
I think I will add it to my “monday blooms” post)

      • Sue

Oh, great – I look forward to your bike!

  6. I also love bone china – it handles so well

  7. I really struggle with still life shots. Mine always look…well dull ha ha. So you have my admiration!! Nice one.

  8. Lovely china and a nice stilly life, Sue!
