One word Sunday – Confusion

Debbie has Confusion as a collective noun- well, I couldn’t think what to post for this, then thought about confusion, which could be a muddle, and thought of Froday at the market…..with the sheer muddle of things there, you could be forgiven for being confused as to what to buy!

I think this image gives a taste (and this is just a small section):

Furthermore, we found this box of mostly mushrooms, with the word turnips….confused??

  1. £4 for a few strawberries would confuse me! 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Sue

I did pay £2 for a few very delicious blueberries, far more flavour than the usual

      • Blueberries are £2 in Tesco, so that was a good idea, Sue. 🙂

      • Sue

Quite! Trouble is, I probably won’t go again for quite some time…I bought some wonderful black rye bread with caraway seeds, too – great for breakfast with mushrooms, or to accompany my boiled egg, yum! I’ve done well for lovely food recently, as the fishmonger had Dovers the other week half price. I have the second one in the freezer waiting for Good Friday!!

  2. Great confusion, Sue.
And I’m pleased to see recycling in action, even if it does add to general confusion. Would give a new flavour to tatties and neeps!

    • Sue

D,you know, I’m not sure if the stall wasn’t called ‘Turnips”??? I wasn’t paying attention! So perhaps not recycling…..😳🙄

  3. Frodays at the market can be confusing … SCNR. But I love this kind of confusion.

    • Sue

Thanks, Eklastic! IMany thanks for your comment, wish I knew your real name, but searched your site and couldn’t’ find it. I like the fact that you write in English and German. Ich habe Deutsch in die Schule gelernt (seit 40 Jahre – so I have forgotten most of it!) But reading the German text in your blog is good, I can understand a fair amount!

      • Ich heiße Elke, aber die meisten meiner englischen Freunde kennen mich als Knicker Elastic (hence: Eklastic) 🙂 Originally, I wrote the blog in 2 languages because my friends are either English or German speaking. But I have had quite a few comments like yours over the years – that they like to test their language skills in the other language. Although it is often not a literal translation. I am chuffed that you enjoy it.

      • Sue

Vielen Dank, Elke! Knicker elastic had me laughing…

      • It’s supposed to be. We have funny nicknames.

      • Sue

        All of you? 😊

      • All of us. Some ruder than others. It’s a world wide running thing (not a club as such) and it was originally founded by military. So they decided that nicknames would make it easier to ignore military ranks.

  4. This post would fit in with the lens-artists challenge this week too! I love a market, muddled, confused or eclectic.

  5. The turnips is so funny 😂

  6. delicious kind of confusion.

  7. the guy in the middle back (red hoodie) does look confused – 🙂
