A diminutive lone figure strides out amidst monumental stonework and some topiary.

An image taken from the terrace of Our Lady of the Remedies, Lemego, Portugal.  I liked the geometry of those stairs and the size of the architecture. Alas, I didn’t have the strength to get down just one or two flights of steps, because there were some marvellous Azulejos to be seen adorning the walls. I only managed to take a distant image from near where our coach parked lower down…I shall show those in my next post.

  1. It dwarfs the man, and makes him look insignificant in the surroundings. Nice shot, Sue. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. It’s amazing how we get so much perspective with the visitor in the shot – it really shows how large those columns are, and how steeply the stairs slope down.

  3. Nice!! It looks like someplace that would make a fantastic location for a slightly avant- garden movie, of the kind Peter Greenaway and Alain Resnais made.

  4. Nice angle, Sue! 🙂 🙂
