Well, what to post – I have tons of images of old things! Many of which are ruined or at the very least decayed….but here is old and rather lovely – the 13th Century Benedictine cloister at Monreale, Sicily. Many of the columns are wonderfully decorated, inlaid with beautiful coloured stones.

It’s wanderful 👌
It’s a beautiful place!
Absolutely gorgeous. I’ve seen temples with white columns similar to this one, but nowhere have I seen the tiles on the columns like this one has.
Well, it’s the only one I have ever seen!
Oh my, that is beautiful! Thanks for giving us such a wonderful old one, Sue
Yippee! Glad you like it!
Lovely capture 🙂
Thank you, Lynne! It took a bit of lining up to get the view I wanted!
Yes columns are not the easiest things to shot, wether inside a church or as ruins, they tend to want lean 🙂
That’s a lovely mage, Sue. But you should have let me know about the theme, and I could have sent you a photo of me. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
This must be beautiful to see, Sue! Hope you had a happy start to 2019 🙂 🙂
It was, Jo! I’ve had a lovely day, lunch at a friend’s place and a good old natter! How about you?
Tired eyes right now, Sue, but one of the best New Year’s Days I can ever remember. 🙂 🙂
Sounds good to me!
You worried me there for a moment Sue, I suddenly thought it was Sunday and not Tuesday. Although now almost Wednesday! The days are becoming very confusing, I shall be glad when we are back to normal! And yes, a lovely old place, such beautiful columns.
Funny, I was only saying to a friend yesterday that it felt like Sunday on a Tuesday!!
Love the composition, all angles but flowing too.
Thank you, Pauline
Thank you, Sylvia!
What wonderful colors, Sue. May I age as beautifully! 😉
Oh, you do make me smile, Janet!😊
I lost a comment on your earlier post about the program about Sicily last night, did you see it?
I’ve just answered the comment, it was there… And did you see it all?
