One Word Sunday: Old

Well, what to post – I have tons of images of old things! Many of which are ruined or at the very least decayed….but here is old and rather lovely – the 13th Century Benedictine cloister at Monreale, Sicily. Many of the columns are wonderfully decorated, inlaid with beautiful coloured stones.

  1. It’s wanderful 👌

  2. Absolutely gorgeous. I’ve seen temples with white columns similar to this one, but nowhere have I seen the tiles on the columns like this one has.

  3. Oh my, that is beautiful! Thanks for giving us such a wonderful old one, Sue

  4. That’s a lovely mage, Sue. But you should have let me know about the theme, and I could have sent you a photo of me. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  5. This must be beautiful to see, Sue! Hope you had a happy start to 2019 🙂 🙂

  6. You worried me there for a moment Sue, I suddenly thought it was Sunday and not Tuesday. Although now almost Wednesday! The days are becoming very confusing, I shall be glad when we are back to normal! And yes, a lovely old place, such beautiful columns.

  7. Love the composition, all angles but flowing too.

  8. What wonderful colors, Sue. May I age as beautifully! 😉

  9. I lost a comment on your earlier post about the program about Sicily last night, did you see it?
