I remember it as if it were yesterday….. / 1

As I have been hunting for images to put in posts, I have been surprised at times that I haven’t actually uploaded or posted certain images….

And an image of a horse in a field in Spring in a post of Amy’s today put me in mind of a image I took in rural Transylvania, over a decade ago…so I determined to post it. As with her image, it was something about the light…lending a gentle, dreamy feel to the scene……

I have a nu,mer of photographs I have taken over the years that really evoke a feeling of nostalgia, of ‘I want to be back there, now’, and have me recalling precisely that moment and the emotion I felt.

So, you can expect to see some more of these images that I am proud to have taken.

And thanks, Amy, for having provided the spark that has led me down this path!

What a beautiful scene! Great capture, Sue. 🙂

  2. That looks like something from a Thomas Hardy, novel, Sue. A peaceful life.
I just found out recently that my cousin’s girlfriend comes from Transylvania. She has been here (in Essex) for ten years, and tells me she would never want to go back. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. A wonderful image o remember, Sue.
I wish you a happy new year.

  4. Nice image Sue. I’m looking forward to seeing more 😀

  5. I can see why that image stayed in your mind. It is so evocative. You have really captured the feeling of a slower way of life that is disappearing from so many parts of our modern world.

  6. Beautiful translucent light Sue

  7. Great photograph, Happy New Year dear Sue, Thank you, Love, nia

  8. Oh, I so love this photo, Sue. My rural childhood comes alive – and as you say – the light…the mood it brings. It makes me feel a bit said for everything lost in this world. Surely you have posted this one once before – I cried a bit then too.

  9. Aha. I’m reading backwards. A series! And a great idea for one to start the year.
