The play of light

Shadows of leaves and sunlight on a dish full of petals, the afternoon sun streams through the blind and creates this little vignette:

Seen in my front room last Wednesday afternoon

  1. wonderful natural light

  2. Lovely, lovely, lovely. I love opportunistic shots like this. The other night I did some Rembrandtian portraits of Joe, lit only by the iPad – we often sit and talk in the dark on a Friday night.

  3. Lovely shadows, Sue.
And is that pot-pourri? I haven’t seen that in years. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. I love these little play of light scenes, Sue. I have one of my Christmas tree with shadows on the wall I rather like. Have a good week, and not too much stress! It’s only Christmas 🙂

  5. Love the play of shadows. You do this very well Sue.

  6. A pretty bowl. And how I would love to see some sunlight – been very fleeting this past three weeks 😦

  7. You’re reminding me that the simplest subject matter can make a most powerful photo. I’m looking for sunshine in my house right now!
