How to illustrate happy? Well I did a post entitled Happy only the other day, so I decided not to post that image again!
We all have our own happy, but for me I would say friendship, good conversation, good food, good wine, strong black coffee, travel- finding new places to explore, art, old things ….etc!
So here are a few images to illustrate some of those
Companionship:
Finding new places to explore:

Matera
Some wines I have drunk

Wine, and a garden rose
Black coffee and a simple breakfast:
Old things….I love old ruins, but other old things have their appeal!

Looks like you – Sue! The breakfast shot is really appealing, and my mother used to have a Singer machine!
Teehee!
A very nice selection, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete! Plenty varied, I think
Your sewing machine photo makes me happy.
I’m glad!
We like the same things!! Lovely photos, especially the sewing machine.
Thank you, Jackie! Life needs to be full of different ‘happy’s
Amazing how many of us are made happy by the same things Sue! Lovely thoughts for the week!
Many thanks, Tina!
Have a lovely week 😊
I can only agree with Tina. Lovely shots and sentiments.
Glad you think so, Su!
Was that wine consumed in one sitting???? I like your interpretation of happy in all its dimensions
No, it wasn’t! Pleased you like my happy!!
Here’s a phrase for you: “imbued with the poetry of its own degradation” apropos other posts.
Oh, brilliant, where d’you get that!! I must use it…..and I came across this “History screaming in silence”
I love “history screaming in silence”. Where did I get the quote I sent? Out of a book! Or an article! Or somewhere. I nearly didn’t send it because I knew you’d ask.
Teehee! And I can’t remember where the screaming history came from!
That shot of Matera is a standout, Sue! That would make me very happy. 🙂 🙂 I did wonder about the wine, too….
That first sighting of Matera was breathtaking! The wine was great, as it happens…..
I’ll join you in all thes happy things Sue
Lovely!
I’m less and less interested in alcohol these days, but I’d love to join those guys for a few minutes chat 🙂
You speak Turkish? 😉
Your “happy” shots are all lovely, particularly the one of beautiful Matera. Interesting that it is the simple things that make us happy 🙂
Isn’t it…
Ohh. I love that shot of Matera. Gorgeous!
Matera was a very interesting, atmospheric place!
I’m hoping to go there next year. From all I’ve heard, it’s a must-see.
Yep, I would agree!
Love this series, Sue. 🙂
Thanks, Amy!
