Open Sesame: Doors and Doorways

Sadly, I missed last week’s Lens artists challenge about light, which would have been right up my street….but fortunately, Tina has come up with a great theme this week!

For most of my life I have taken images of doors and windows…so I have a number of different types of door to use here

First up, a whole line of open doors in an old deserted mansion:

Here’s a gate which looks as if it will no longer be OpenSesame!:

Old door, Rethymnon, Crete

I am always intrigued by ‘what lies beyond?’- here an open door in Camaguey, Cuba…..

…and through the open barber’s door in Havana:

  1. All that top one needs is a ghost at the end! 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. I really like that top one – the receding multiple doorways.

  3. Excellent. I love doorways, always so intriguing. And great to have a frame within your frame.

  4. Great gallery, Sue! Havana is intriguing as always

I really like the first one, Sue.

  6. These are GREAT Sue—hardly “cobbled” I’d say! Love them all but especially your composition on the first

  7. Glad you’re up and running again, Sue 🙂 🙂 Love the doors.

  8. Great doors. My fav is the series of open doors. Cool shot.

  9. Nice collection of shots Sue. I particularly like the first as well.

  10. Great perspective in the first one, but 2 & 3 are my favourites 🙂

  11. I’m always drawn to doors as well but never really noticed it that obviously until reading your post. Now I’m curious about the significance of it.

  12. Especially like the blue door in the yellow wall, Sue. A 🙂
