Some time ago, I started an occasional series, Street. Then I forgot about it….the last one was posted September 2015.
When on a recent trip to the Douro, I managed a few Street images, and here’s the first, taken in Lamego (and my favourite). The light was wonderful and I managed to get an uncluttered image at one point. A few moments later, and there were too many people milling around.
That’s a nice view, Sue. I think you manage to include a lot of streets, even if they are usually called ‘Ones’. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Haha! But Street generally will have more than one person, or none at all!
🙂
A happy revival, Sue.
Glad you think so, Tish!
I like the feel of relaxation here: the man sitting, someone else walking a dog. Just enjoying life.

Relaxation indeed!
There seems to be a lot of men sitting on those benches watching the lady and her dog go by.
Indeed there were!
You capture some beautiful peace and serenity in this street scene. I really like that the man on the bench follows the lady in the background with her dog. It connects across the photo.
Thank you, Otto…it just ‘spoke to me’
Hi Sue, Your image made me smile…the man casually watching the woman. He leads your eye to her. Nice capture!
That’s precisely what led me to take that image!
Ahh you did go to the Douro, would you recommend it?
Most definitely….and I want to go back to Porto…
Porto looks gorgeous and easy to get to.
Alas for me it’s on a hill, and steep streets. So I need to work out ways of getting about if I return
Very nice Sue. Clever use of the man to guide us. The subtle light brings us relaxation.
I saw the lady with the dog first, and as I waited for her to move a bit further into the light, I saw the man, and knew I had my shot!
