Look who came to visit today

Just caught sight of this heron coming in to land on a tree, knew it was a heron because of the massive wingspan….grabbed the camera, got him resting, and just as I was about to get another shot, off he flew…which I just caught!

I have never seen a heron here before, so glad I was around when he graced us with his presence!

  1. Nice capture of the wary heron!

  2. There’s lots of smaller ones here, walking in the surf, picking around. They’re very graceful when they fly! Good capture!

  3. Good Heron shots, Sue. We have a ‘regular’ Heron over at Beetley Meadows.
But he’s very edgy, and whenever I go for my camera, he immediately scarpers! 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. You were lucky – and quick 🙂

  5. Herons are amazing and almost a bit frightening with their wingspan.
