Lens- Artist’s Photo Challenge- Path

This week, Tina is hosting and has chosen Path. There are different ways I could approach this, but for simplicity, I shall just be quite literal….so here are some paths I have walked on, over the years….all with an interesting destination (the path to adventure?):

Cornish coastal path, to ruins of a tin mine-

Wheal Coates, early 1970s

The path to a tiny chapel on the island of Leros, Greece-

Path across the water

A garden path, Jardin d’Agapanthe, France-

Garden path

Rocky path to the Cathar castle of Puylaurens, France-

Path in the shadows

Path amongst the abbey ruins, Jervaulx-

  1. Great paths, Sue. But I knew you would have lots to choose from. πŸ™‚
(I think I might have once trod that one to the Cathar Castle too. It sounds familiar)
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Very interesting selection of images for the theme, Sue πŸ™‚

My favorite is the path across water πŸ™‚

  3. All paths that beckon you to follow them. Splendid.

  4. What an interesting idea to focus on paths and they all lead to an important destination just like the spiritual paths in our life. Great post, Tish!

  5. Amazing paths Sue, and all so inviting!

  6. Great choices. I love the Cornish coastal path.

  7. Lovely paths, Sue! 1 and 3 are my favourites. Haven’t had time to visit Tina yet. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  8. Inviting and lovely paths all of them – for me paths means so many memories. Love yours – and I think the one across the water stands out for me!

  9. Beautiful images, Sue. I especially love the abbey path.

  10. I’d love to be able to twitch my nose and teleport to any of those paths right now – they look like journeys I’d love to take. πŸ™‚

  11. You have trodden on some lovely paths Sue.

    • Sue

Oh, I have….but alas not something that happens much now…

      • Me neither. I haven’t left the county all year! Never mind going overseas. 😦

      • Sue

Well, I’ve left the county a few times for an hour or five, courtesy of friends doing the driving! And a week in Poland in May…. I just don’t like to be stuck all the time!

      • Takes me well on 2 hours to leave Cornwall! And the garden has kept me busy this summer. I do want to visit Australia and NZ again, but the thoughts of that long haul flight really puts me off.

      • Sue

I want to visit a friend in Perth…but that flight has always put me off….she’s 82 and in London at the mo, so she’s coming to see me tomorrow…how different our stamina is!!

      • I’m just bad at sleeping on a plane and my knees become very painful if I can’t stretch my legs so I really need to pay for a Premium seat to get the leg room and they are expensive. It’s only 24 hours, but it does take a toll on my health. Your friend must be very fit πŸ™‚

      • Sue

Yes, I think she is, Jude

  12. Beautiful paths, Sue. The figure walking up to the chapel makes the shot. πŸ™‚

  13. You have walked some wonderful paths! The one to the chapel is my favorite.
