Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Action

This week, we are challenged to show some action, so here we have quite a variety:

The first two images have action frozen by fast shutter, so you need to imagine the speed

Classic cars racing at Le Mans

Follow the track

One of my favourite ‘Action’ images, one man and his dog at Madrid’s Parque Retiro:

….and the next three have movement suggested by motion blur, I love slow shutter speed work:

Waiters rushing around

chef tossing pasta!

Nifty with the pasta!

and lastly, girl in a hurry

A fleeting glimpse….

  1. What fun, that pasta tossing! I’d have it all over the floor 😦 More GP tomorrow, Sue!

  2. Wow – love them! I must say that tossing pasta guy looks really happy! Lovely shot. but, my favorite must be the last one – could hang on my wall any day…

  3. Love the girl in a hurry Sue—very artistic!

  4. All great shots, Sue. I could easily imagine the speed of the cars, and would love to have a go in that old Mercedes. (Maybe in my younger days though. 🙂 )
    Best wishes, Pete.

  5. Some great shots Sue
My favourites are the first and last – great cars so clear, and the wonderfully blurred woman perfectly timed to show the tiles

  6. I love that waiter photo! Brilliant capture. I have got to think about this one.

  7. Girl in a hurry very artistic. But love the pasta throwing chef

  8. Brilliant Sue, especially the last two!

  9. Hi, Sue. Wow. I love the chef and the girl in a hurry. The chef has such a wonderful expression and his delight is evident as he tosses the post. The girl in the last shot is pure poetry in motion. Love it.

Thanks Patti! I think the chef was amused by this photographer trying to get the action shots! And the last image is one of my favourite images that I have ever taken,.,,.

  10. Amy

Cool capture of the chef making pasta! A happy chef. 🙂

  11. The last photo is really a great idea, Sue

  12. The pasta chef seems to be having so much fun – love the slow shutter speed for this image!

Thanks, Dina! I love playing about with shutter speeds, as I do wit apertures, for that matter! And ICM is fun – loved yours of the masts in the harbour!

  15. I especially like the Girl in a Hurry. Thanks for stopping by my site and liking my story/photo prompt post.
