I always avoid getting children into a photo. The modern world has made photographing children a real minefield. Love the second shot, with its timeless quality. Could have been taken in my youth.
Best wishes, Pete.
That’s why I converted it to B&W, Pete…..pure nostalgia!
The black and white one is very nostalgic of an English summer, though I’d square it up and chop out those distracting leaves.
Well, yes, but it was quicker just to grab this shot, previously posted!!
Love them both – and I love photographing children, but yes, a minefield in the western world.
Glad you like these, A C!
The English children are sweet. The photo has the sense of a by-gone era.
Thanks, Jenn!
You captured it well, the bliss of being young, Sue!
I hoped I had!
Cute and the B&W works well.

Thanks, Janet!
And when you do, you epitomise childhood.
Brilliant!!
Love the expression on the young boys face
They were having fun, chasing each other on the improvised ‘Go karts’…..
more than the sum of the parts -the contrast between the two makes each more charming
Thanks, Laura!
Little fairies in the field!
Yes!!
I love the black and white photo. It’s beautiful.
Very redolent of the past, don’t you think?
