Wonder

Posting for the new Lens Artists Photo Challenge, and this week Patti has asked us to think of images that show Wonder.

Couldn’t think of one single image that would cover this prompt, so here are a few shots of different moments of personal wonder….

Getting up one morning around a decade ago and seeing minute reflections in small drops of dew on our magnolia:

Minuscule reflections

Driving in Tuscany and coming across the tumbling, crumbling buildings of Pitigliano laid out before us as we rounded a corner:

And how about seeing a lazy sloth for the first time, in the rainforest of Costa Rica:

Sloth in the rainforest

I know I have plenty more moments, but in haste I put these together, as each had me thinking ‘wow’ at the time

  1. All good ‘wonders’, Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. β€œWow” is a good indicator of wonder. And I can see exactly why each of these diverse photos provoke it. The magnolia particularly.

  3. The Pitigliano photo is stunning Sue!

  4. Will have to look more closely at home Sue. Waiting for the Sunderland train right now xx

  5. Definitely wow moments Sue and I’m sure you have so many more

  6. What a great collection for the first challenge! I especially love the dewdrops. Pitigliano is fascinating. I’ll have to read more about it.

  7. These are certainly wondrous, Sue, especially Pitigliano! πŸ™‚

  8. Lots of wonder here, Sue. That line of drops on the magnolia and the reflections within especially so. The sloth is quite something too. Coming upon Pitigliano like that must have been almost surreal.

  9. All definite examples of gorgeous wonder Sue!

  10. Each works to fulfill the challenge’s theme.

  11. These are indeed images of wonder and what is amazing as your photos show, wonder isn’t limited to something specific

  12. Better on my laptop, Sue. The phone is fine for answering comments but not much else. All are WONDERful πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
