One of my favourite ruins ever! Craco Vecchia…. The subject of a few posts, and I think I shall do one on Call to Place for Cathy…..
Look forward to that 🙂
😊😊
Ah, now they are ‘Sue roofs’! 🙂 Classic dilapidation indeed.
Best wishes, Pete.
I like it!
That’s really very nice. All these old tiles have been handmade, I think. Regards Mitza
I rather think they would have been
Well, I see here a full time job for a roof repairman. Great photo, Sue!
😀😀
I think we could say there has been a state of collapse! And the chaos adds to the composition. Well framed Sue.
Many thanks, Andy!
Ramshackle roofs – fabulous!
They were great!
Wonderful tiles.
Absolutely…Mitza has said handmade, and they would have been, back in the day….
As a lot of things were.
Well, quite!
Work hard, die young. No pensions or Social Care required…
OK. Not ideal I’ll give you that. I do actually like handmade goods though even if they are more expensive.
I’m in agreement with you! Work hard, die young was a tough life, and there was no need to worry about dementia – you’d have popped your clogs way before your brain coul degenerate…..
True! Living longer isn’t necessarily all it is cracked up to be.
😟
What a fabulous photo and just look at those rooves. Superb Sue 😀
Thought I’d pull out the stops for you today, Becky…..probably downhill all the way now!
Don’t believe that for a moment! You’ve set the bar now for your final two days 😉
Ah, well….tomorrow is a bit pedestrian, but Saturday’s is a good one…
Pedestrian is good, not had many of those! And can’t wait for Saturday 😁
Oooh, don’t get too excited….
Too late!!! Quaking here in anticipation 😉
😀😀😀😂
Looks interesting!
Thanks!
That’s a nice jumble, Sue. 🙂 🙂
One of my best ruin explorations….ever….
All earthly colours, emphasizing the fact that everything that comes from earth will once return to earth. This basilica sure looks like coming close to the latter. A gorgeous photo. I really like the tight framing – besides the limited colour palette.
Many thanks….Craco was the place for the limited palette – another, different limited one here in the second image in this post: https://suejudd.com/2017/08/17/windows-of-lucania/
A delicious, very Sue, jumble
At a fantastic ruined place….only wish I had also seen it years before…..
I love exploring ruins, and these are fabulous. 🙂
As I said to Lynne (blosslyn) “One of my favourite ruins ever! Craco Vecchia…. The subject of a few posts, and I think I shall do one on Call to Place for Cathy…..”
Oh boy! I’m excited to see what you write. 🙂
Oh dear, I’ve got to step up to the mark!
Oh, you’ll have no problem there! 🙂
We’ll see!
