Today, one from Sibiu, Romania – eyes in a roof, with a distinctly knowing look…. I love the angles, the lines in this, oh, and the textures too. Ideally suited to the square format.

To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
Oh, yes, definitely an image just waiting to be a square. I love those strong diagonals, great tiles and the squinting eye brings a smile
Yay!
I like to see a roof (or whole house) that has a ‘face’. This is an excellent example, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
It was a great find, Pete….has an almost human presence!
Fascinating shot, Sue. Roof lizards.
…..dozing, but ready to pounce!!
Oh yes! There’s definite intent 🙂
😀😀
Fantastic image, Sue! How wonderful that the builder/architect followed this concept through to completion. Is it a common conceit in Romania, like the Maltese custom of painting eyes on boat prows?
Those little ‘eyes’ of windows are quite common I some towns and cities
Very cool image. Nice!
Many thanks, Ruth! Quite eye catching!
Very interesting viewpoint! Who would miss seeing the eye in the roof? Only someone with no imagination. Great photo, Sue!
Thanks, Peter! I have an overactive imagination, I think !
Well, Sue, that is better than under-active or none.
There is that!
I love the eye in this roof. 😀
Thanks! Cee! It’s great, isn’t it!
That’s a fabulous eye Sue. Looks so real!
I did a double take when I originally saw it!
Me too when it came up in the Reader!
😀😀
Your Romanian roofs have been superb.
Might be another one or two, not sure yet…..
So intriguing and…marvelous!
Well, even if I say so myself, great composition!! 😊
Fantastic…and a bit scary at night…
Haha!
ooh these are definitely roof faces 🙂
It just worked, for simplicity and strength of composition…..
It is superb Sue 🙂
One of my my best travel images….sense of place, simplicity, tight composition
