June Squares:Rooves / 24

Today, one from Sibiu, Romania – eyes in a roof, with a distinctly knowing look…. I love the angles, the lines in this, oh, and the textures too. Ideally suited to the square format.

  1. Oh, yes, definitely an image just waiting to be a square. I love those strong diagonals, great tiles and the squinting eye brings a smile

  2. I like to see a roof (or whole house) that has a ‘face’. This is an excellent example, Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Fascinating shot, Sue. Roof lizards.

  4. Fantastic image, Sue! How wonderful that the builder/architect followed this concept through to completion. Is it a common conceit in Romania, like the Maltese custom of painting eyes on boat prows?

  5. Very cool image. Nice!

  6. Very interesting viewpoint! Who would miss seeing the eye in the roof? Only someone with no imagination. Great photo, Sue!

  7. I love the eye in this roof. 😀

  8. That’s a fabulous eye Sue. Looks so real!

  9. Your Romanian roofs have been superb.

  10. So intriguing and…marvelous!

  11. Fantastic…and a bit scary at night…

  12. ooh these are definitely roof faces 🙂
