Thursday’s Special- Traces of the Past Y4-05

Time for another Traces of the Past – this time I have chosen a street in Kazimierz district of Krakow. This is the old Jewish quarter, and this particular street with it’s hanging balconies was used in the film ‘Schindler’s List’, now appearing to be undergoing renovation:

  1. Some unsettling history there, Sue. Good to see it being brightened up though.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Great capture of the Jewish quarters of Krakow, Sue! You must have waited till there were very few people around. I can imagine that lots of tourists are normally flooding this famous area.

  3. Great design elements – even if they weren’t trying for that.

  4. A very nice capture, Sue. Did you get to the Schindler Museum? X

  5. Things always change Sue, how long ago were you there?

  6. You did get around in Kraków – and lurk to good effect.

  7. Lurking Sue! 🙂
A good capture – I can feel its history, despite the renovation work

  8. Layers and layers of history. Fine composition, Sue. I tend to look for Jewish neighborhoods when I travel too.
