N is for Nürnberg (Nuremberg)

I went a number of times in the late 80s to early 90s to visit a friend, and she introduced me to a number of places in Bavaria. Alas, I didn’t take loads of images of Nürnberg itself, and many of the negatives have been lost. However, I have found a couple of images that I think are striking in their own way.

First, an evening shot across the rooftops taken, I believe, from the approach to the castle. This is sadly a very poor quality scan, and the only remaining record I have. But the light was great that evening, and I wanted to include this shot:

Rooftops in evening light, Nūrnberg

And I posted this next image recently (in monochrome), but it is quite striking, so here it is again

Zeppelinfeld tribune, Dutzendteich, Nūrnberg

  1. That old Nazi building is still imposing. Nice shots, Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. It’s the memories they trigger, isn’t it, Sue? That first could have been beautiful. 🙂 🙂 Cracking along nicely with the A-Zs!

  3. from what i’ve seen on TV it’s a very beautiful place.
