L is for Locorotondo

Locorotondo is a picturesque town on a hilltop in Puglia, Italy.  Quite a dazzling sight against a bright blue summer sky:

The historic part of the town is circular (the name is a clue!), and this part is a maze of lanes and alleys, whitewashed and for a good part bedecked with plants and flowers.

  1. Nice to imagine the summer heat, and to look at the white buildings. Invitingly European.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

  5. It looks like the kind of town I love to explore. Puglia you say… home of the trullo.

  6. I love this town bathed in bright sunshine, Sue!

  7. Love that image with the bright pink flowers Sue – looks like a beautiful spot!

  8. What a name! More beautiful than its name for sure.

  9. I love that whiteness against blue sky, and bright flowers – and now I want to see trulli, which I’d never heard of before.

  10. What a wonderful landscape!

  11. Thanks for a great day out on a grey day.

  12. How odd! I clicked the link on Becky’s post and here I am in the sunshine when you promised rain? Ah, well… I’m having that kind of day. Back to the drawing board. 🙂 🙂 Nice views, though!

  13. Love those narrow streets with beautiful street lamps, very Italian!
