H is for Havana

H just has to be Havana…here are just a few images from this iconic place

Cycle taxi amidst the graffiti

Typical street in downtown Havana

  1. Interesting choice for H 🙂

    There is beauty everywhere…

Beautiful images and thank you for sharing, sue 🙂

  2. Must have been like Heaven for you, Sue.
    A whole city in decay.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Of course it did, but what happened to G?

  4. Lovely Sue – I know what you mean. On the one hand so photogenic, on the other a bit sad. Nicely captured.

  5. I lived that city but the spirits of its people amazed me the most!

  6. Lovely. I would like to go back but I was torn while I was there. I felt a bit like a colonial. The Cuban people were so hospitable.

    • Sue

As I said to Pete, Photographic heaven, yes….but it leaves me sad for the people who live there, daily life quite a struggle….

  7. Was ever there a place so photogenic, Sue? The black and white is the one that really speaks to me. I have no right to feel sad, with my cosy English life. That song will be running through my brain all day now. I love it 🙂 🙂 Havana, um, na, na…

  8. You captured it well, Sue. The City does not do justice in comparison to the countryside.
