Traces of the Past Y4 03

I know I have posted this one of Scotney Castle before, but this was such an example of all the elements coming together…. I was still able to walk a reasonable distance back then, I arrived just as the sun was setting, and it was an imposing old ruin….

  1. Great shot, Sue.
I remember driving all the way there from North London, only to find it was closed that day!
I must try again, one of these days.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. An iconic picture Sue in lovely golden light.

  3. Such a wonderful, golden glow. And I like the reflection.

  4. Perfect shot of a beautiful sunset scene! I love the reflection of the castle in the water. Well done, Susan!

  5. Definitely everything came together here. Gorgeous shot.

  6. Joe Fleetway

Lovely photo, although I would lose the tree on the left – it draws the eye away from the focus of the picture – partly I think due to its intense depth of colour.

  7. What a beautiful reflection, Susan!

  8. That’s a lovely shot, Sue! Nice warm tones and those reflections 🙂 🙂

  9. Lovely golden treasure, Sue. Stunning.

  10. Worth posting umpteen times!

  11. Lovely light and stone, Sue.
