Is that Don McCullin on the cover of that book?
A photo of photo books. Good idea, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
I have long admired Don McCullin’s photography, Pete. Yesterday, there was an article about the Vietnam veterans that he photographed, in the Times…so this image has his book, Sleeping with Ghosts, overlaid with the Times magazine cover…
Black and white adds a certain intensity to the subject.
I intended it to, Victoria, so that’s good to hear
sounds interesting Sue 🙂
He’s a great photographer…
Thank you for the explanation. Looks much too sombre for me, Sue. How is the day treating you? 🙂 🙂
Very sombre, Jo. As to my day, I have had a very busy, tiring one, but home and warm and resting now. We got a reasonable number of snow gusts today, forecast to become much worse in the coming days, so I went up to London today (to get my exhibition photos up to my friend, who will deliver them to the Barbican library), and luckily it all worked out – I was originally going Thursday, then I thought tomorrow….but I may have made the right call!!
I don’t envy you, Sue. Glad you can rest up tomorrow- job done! 🙂 🙂
👍
It’s a book I have had on my list for a long time. Don McCullin is a very special photographer, isn’t he.
He certainly is, Otto.
Brava.
😊
Nice one Sue 🙂
Thanks, Gilly!
